Crew Manifest - Intelligence:

Intelligence Analysis officers are specially trained in data analysis, decryption, and retrieval. They are not field operatives (the majority of which are civilians), but analysts who take the data sent to them by a wide range of sources and use it to piece together a picture of what threat forces may be planning. This task is often described as assembling a jigsaw puzzle without the picture.
